Anchor⚓Point Biofeedback
Biofeedback therapy offers a holistic, non-invasive treatment that helps people manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, headaches, PTSD, chronic pain, and more.
How Biofeedback Therapy Works
During biofeedback therapy sensors are placed on the fingertips or ear lobes to gather information on heart rate, breath rate, and skin conductance. This information is processed by the computer and displayed on the monitor in the form of various activities which are controlled by the client’s own body signals. A person learns how to control stress, anxiety, and emotions by observing the movement on the monitor screen. This is especially helpful in cases of attention disorder or concentration problems, as well as rebuilding brain cells following a trauma or brain injury.
Biofeedback uses sensors to measure and provide real-time feedback on physiological processes like heart rate, breathing, muscle tension, and skin temperature. Individuals learn how to consciously control these normally involuntary functions to improve their health and manage a variety of symptoms.
Biofeedback therapy is a holistic approach to:
Anxiety
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Sleep Disorders
Depression
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
OCD
Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI)
Migraines
Chronic Pain
Stress Management
Grief and Loss Therapy
Success Story: Overcoming Anxiety and Stress with Biofeedback
One of our longtime clients struggled with severe stress and anxiety during her daily commute to Atlanta. The city’s infamous traffic congestion made her long drives a source of intense discomfort and agitation.
Seeking a solution, she turned to our biofeedback sessions. She learned to manage her physiological responses and reduce her stress and anxiety. She discovered techniques to navigate traffic with a newfound sense of ease and calm. She told us that biofeedback with supportive counseling completely relieved the anxiety she had so frequently experienced driving.
Today, her commute is no longer a dreaded part of her day. Thanks to biofeedback, she finds her calm in the commute and enjoys a stress-free driving experience!
